Brutus Baby at Badlands Park

We took Brutus Baby to Badlands Park in Laguna Niguel, CA. This park is small, but it has spectacular views of Laguna Beach and the Pacific Ocean.

It also has some cool rock formations. Brutus Baby liked climbing on them, and they gave him a better view of Catalina Island.

Here's a view of the south end of Catalina Island we could see from the park.

Brutus Baby spent some time sunning himself in this flower.

He hopped into this plant that is actually very prickly. It would hurt for one of us to touch it, but for the Brutus, it was totally comfortable.

Whether he was climbing on the rocks or into the flowers, Brutus Baby seemed to enjoy everything about Badlands Park.

Here he climbed into the top of a desert bush to get a better view of the ocean.

Brutus Baby liked the wooden rail fence bordering some of the trails in the park. He modeled his stylin' Badlands outfit standing on part of the fence.

Some of the trees had twisted, gnarly trucks that are full of texture and fascinating. Brutus Baby liked them as much as we did.

Brutus Baby wasn't the only thing enjoying the park this day. The butterflies and bees were having a great time too.

Just outside the park, there is a place where you can see Laguna Beach, Newport Beach and beyond. From the same spot, you can see south to Salt Creek, the Strand, and much more. Brutus Baby wanted to fly his drone to get a better look.

Salt Creek and the Strand beaches show in this photo. The Ritz-Carlton is to the left of Brutus, and and the Dana Point Headlands are behind him.

Brutus Baby also did aerial patrol of the wildflowers.

Like many other parts of Orange County this time of year, they were everywhere.

There was a lot to see flying around these hills above the Pacific Ocean.

The beach below Brutus Baby is Three Arch Bay Beach. It's just north of Salt Creek, but not visible because it's on the other side of the small point showing in the photo.

Brutus Baby spent a lot of time enjoying the scenery with his drone.

But even without the drone, the view was incredible.

We hated to leave the views like the one below, but all-too-soon it was time to go. What a great day it was at Badlands Park!
